1947 Boone High School Band 

Thank to Roger Olson (BHS 1951) who was a member of this band and was in 8th grade at the time.  Roger says, "Back in 1947 my dad shot some 16mm color movies of the BHS band on sixth street going to and coming back from Goeppinger field.  I recently had the movies transferred to video;  there was, of course, no associated sound recording.  The old BHS fight song uses the University of Illinois loyalty song for its melody, so the sound on this video is of the  U of I performing their loyalty song not the Boone High Band..
